Windows 7 Akihabara Late Night Sales report!

The DSP edition of the latest Microsoft OS, "Windows 7" went on sale at midnight of the 22nd (Thu.) at PC parts shops in Akihabara.

Many shops held late night sales/events in the Akiba area such as special discounts, auctions, lottery drawing, and talk sessions. The distributor of the DSP edition held a user's event "Windows 7 release event The Night before Festival" was held at CAFFE SOLARE Linux cafe Akihabara with many people on hand in Akiba despite being a weekday night.

The catch was the specials for the people buying them were the moe characters such as "Nanami Madobe" (CV: Nana Mizuki), the DIY PC cheering character. There were some Moe/Ita PCs that went on sale as Windows 7 kicked off with some boost with moe characters.

The 3 types that went out for this Windows 7 were: Ultimate/Professional/Home Premium with each edition having 32/64bit versions lined up. The favorites at the late night sales were "Ultimate" "64bit" type.
