The stage appearance event of "Macross Frontier The Movie: The False Diva" was held on opening day, November 21st at Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro and Shinjuku WALD 9.

Fans made lines from the morning and the theater was filled with standing room only. Yuichi Nakamura (as Alto Saotome), Aya Endo (as Sheryl Nome), Megumi Nakajima (as Ranka Lee) and Director Shouji Kawamori appeared twice before the feature presentation.
The event started out with Sheryl-ish comment by Endo "You haven't seen it yet, right? Well, I have! (laugh)" followed by "I've seen it already " - a comedic and friendly atmosphere.
The topic turned to the 15 hour recording session. Nakamura confessed "As I turned to Kikuko Inoue (as Grace) around 11p.m., she was almost dozing off. When I talked to her, she seemed surprised and asked "What was I doing?" " which gave the idea how intense the recording was.
Nakajima made a triviatic "Since it was really late at night, I did something with the microphone and is used in a very important scene of Ranka Lee. Please do check it out!" comment. Replies arguing that there is no way to know the correct answer, "It will be on the Web!" was pulled out. Though, director Kawamori commented, "it's not gonna be found"
Director Shouji Kawamori showed confidence of the film with his "We have made it to fit the big screen and easy for first time viewers to understand as well. The fighting scenes, live performance scenes and the drama scenes has all been powered up at to a ridiculous level".
A secret guest appeared at this point. A Lanka Lee clad Yuichiro "Jienotsu" Nagashima ran up to the stage. A popular K1 fighter's entrace had the audience cheering. Comments after his appearance were "( Is Nakajima)Zentradi-fied Lanka?" and "Megumi Nakajima the The False Diva ?" had the everyone laughing.
When asked about Nakajima's favorite heroine, Sheryl or Lanka, "This costume says it all".
Finally, "Lines are filled with our spirits. The answer will almost be out. Please enjoy the live performance scenes" (by Aya Endo), "I know many of you couldn't sleep last night. Don't fall asleep the next 2 hours." (by Yuichi Nakamura ), "Theatrical feature is full of mysteries. Enjoy everything Macross Frontier has to offer" (by Megumi Nakajima) "The costume are really neat, so check those out too" (by Nagashima) and "There are many Decultures and a bit on the sequel at the end " (by Kawamori) which closed the sellout crowd of the first day of the showing.
