Toru Furuya joins for the lighting of Gundam Tree in Akiba

Toru Furuya joins for the lighting of Gundam Tree in Akiba A Christmas tree decorated with over 60 Gundam plastic models- "Gundam Tree"'s lighting ceremony was held Akihabara UDX on December 3rd.

This "Gundam Tree" was made to commemorate the release of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT PLUS" for PSP. The 5 meter tree decorated with red/blue/white Gundam color lighting and more than 60 Gundam plastic models (Gundam models) and will be displayed at Akihabara UDX's east deck on the 2nd floor until December 25th (lighted between 4 to 11 p.m.).

The release date of December 3rd was unfortunately raining but that didn't stop the many fans gathering to see the lighting ceremony. A big round of applause was heard when the lights were turned on by special guest Toru Furuya (Amuro Ray) with call "Amuro, turning it on!".

Photo session was held with Furuya to the first 100 people that purchased "Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT PLUS". Smiles of the participants surrounding Furuya was memorable.

Most of more then 60 models hung from Gundam Tree are from the game "Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT PLUS" for PSP. "Unicorn Gundam" from the new "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" was found.
