The new shop of JEANS MATE, "Akiba Asobi-kan" will open December 11th. The location in the vacant lot where Asobit Character City used to be in behind LAOX The Computer store and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Vice President Masashi Nishiwaki, production chief, sales chief and maid staff were on hand for the press showing held on the 10th. Maid staff introduced fashion coordination suggestions and original products and services targeting Akiba users.
"Mate" in Akihabara meant Anime shop "Animate" until now, but it might not be long until we hear Akiba-ites saying "Let's go to "Mate"", "Which one?".

･The how and why of the opening; Staff "Aren't there many JEANS MATE shoppers that come to Akiba?". company official "The place was an option from before, the rent has been coming down...let's give it a shot" Will open open more shops in Akiba if we see profit. Or maybe north side of Nakano Station.
･24 hour open: "Having the knowledge of 24 hour business, we will see it as a trial. Having Don Quixote Akihabara close by, we are looking to get some of there sales come towards us" (Vice President Masashi Nishiwaki) Can change easily if things don't go as planned.
･Items/Price: 420 clothing items (500～30,000 yen), 350 fashion chandlery items (340～4,900 yen), 2,600 hobby items (60～22,500 yen).
･Purchase of stock: added new wholesale dealers and makers. There isn't much scale-merit compared to other products because of the Akiba only items so the profitability ratio is low.
･Hot items are the initial/limited sales T-shirt. For the moment, otaku item such as "Fate/stay night Theatrical Edition" and "Sengoku BASARA" and character items as "Snoopy" "Gachapin", parody/collaboration are selling well.
･Maids will be posted at 4th/5th floors (Mens' Casuals). 2 to 3 maids will be there between 2pm to 8pm (more on weekends). Will support customers' shopping with catalogues and menus s well as coordinate suggestions, alterations and Blog updates.
･1000 yen discount to customers purchasing over 10,000 yen by maid-coordinate. "Will bring up per customer unit sales" (Vice President Masashi Nishiwaki).
･Opening events: clear file of the theatrical edition of "Fate/stay night" hand outs (first 500 customers between 11th～13th) title Itasyas and maids will be on hand. 500 point point cards will be given to customers bringing coupons attached to flyers.
