Facsimile edition of the Karuta “Mobilesuit GUNDAM” on sale!
Facsimile edition of the Karuta of “Mobilesuit GUNDAM” by Seika went out on sale.
(* Karuta is a traditional Japanese card game where the objective of the game is to be able to quickly determine which card out of an array of cards is required and then to grab the card before it is grabbed by an opponent.)
“Mobilesuit GUNDAM Karuta” is a game based on the first version of the animation.
No details were available but it seems that the karuta was printed between 1979 and 1980 when it was aired. It gives a kind of retro look by the reprints from the yellow antenna of the GUNDAM (RX-78-2) or red mask of Char (They are not true..).
“ Mobilesuit GUNDAM Karuta” is an authentically reproduced product of the original version. It was on display and sales to be sold out at the Seika booth of major hobby event “Chara Hobby 2008” . The content was quite(?) normal, having phrases and pictures from GUNDAM. But, as you may have guessed, some of the card did not coincide the original story. The picture card had some slight differences and the reading cards were....sur-real with direct expressions.
