2nd Vol. of "HETALIA" ! A comedy of personificated countries

The 2nd volume of the "Hetalia", a comic of personification countries, "Hetalia 2 Axis Powers" went on sale.



"Hetalia" is a Web Comic by Hidekazu Himaruya (available on author's homepage) .

The title is a combined from "hetare"( a japanese slang for "cowardly person or action") and Italia (Italy).
It is a comedy with personified countries and their cynical episodes. The 1st volume was published in March 2008, and their drama CD has been on sale as well. The TV animation will start from January 24th 2009.

"Hetalia 2 Axis Powers" is 2nd volume of the series. It has a regular version and the deluxe version with a special boolket inside. "Over 500,000 sold!" was written on the sleeve of the book with info about the CD and the soon starting animation.


Many hobby shops in Akihabara opened areas for the book. Comic Tora No Ana Akihabara 1 Go-ten had a restriction 1 book per customer because of its popularity. The shop also had a cover picture card give away for the first lucky customers.
