"Star Ocean: The Last Hope" for Xbox360 hit the stores.

"Star Ocean"is a RPG series developed by tri-Ace and published by SQUARE ENIX. Star Ocean series features emotional levels between characters, a real-time battle system, a Star Trek-like story, and in-battle voices.

AD 2064. Humanity made its third and most costly mistake. World War III. Weapons of mass destruction deployed with complete impunity, razed the land in the blink of an eye. People believed it was the end of the world. The planet Earth was dying. So humanity began to search for a new home in space with Edge Maverick (Voiced by Kishio Daisuke) and Reimi Saionji (Voiced by Misato Fukuen) as a member of SRF mission.

The game will also feature more of a sci-fi emphasis than past titles with the ability to control your own ship.By this, the players will be able to land on at least 5 planets or other space-based destinations. One will be able to travel through the "star ocean," jumping across planets that is drawn in 3D, giving depth to the play.

The modes for the battle have been up-graded, as well as "Special Attacks" "Symbology" (also known as Heraldry) and "Skill System", "Sign-in/sign-out" system which allows the character to dodge the enemies' attack and retaliate. Battle Exalted Action Type (BEAT) System (or Battle Enhancement Attribute Type in English version) allows the player to choose Edge's and active team members' preferred fighting styles, such as offense, defense, sneak attacks, etc. The main new feature in battle is the Rush system. Each team member can unleash special or preemptive attacks by building up their Rush gauges during normal attacks. Another new mode is the Real Time Member Change, which allows the player to switch out active members for reserve members during battle. These new systems will keep the players on their toes.

Private Actions also return. Item Creation, a large gameplay component in all installments, will be featured. By conversing with them during rest after exploration or battle, the player can form a rapport with him/her, which increases the member's affection or respect for the main character.

A special face plate that is enclosed in the premium pack will be given to customers who buys the Xbox 360 with the software as well."Star Ocean: The Last Hope" for Xbox360 Premium Pack" that comes with Xbox360 (arcade) was sold out at many hobby shops at Akihabara.

Many game shops welcomed the popular RPG with respect. Sofmap Akihabara main store had posters with comments from the staffs that has played the long running series.
