"Hayate the Combat Butler OVA" has come out.
Hayate the Combat Butler comedy manga series, written and illustrated by manga author Kenjiro Hata, about a boy named Hayate Ayazaki who starts a new job as a butler and the events he experiences with his employer, Nagi Sanzenin. The TV adaptation has become a huge hit due to the heroine's "Tsun-dere-ness" played by Rie Kugimiya and the deep otaku parodies.
"Hayate the Combat Butler OVA" is released as a prequel to the TV anime's second season that is scheduled to start this April. Breaking through the standard image of OVAs staged at hot springs, the story is staged in summer as a "Major Swimsuit Festival!"(as seen on the cover).
Blu-ray and DVD editions are out. Both have the same first press bonus tracks.

The staff for anime's second season will be produced by J.C.STAFF, directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki and Yosuke Kuroda, a major change from its first season.
Shops in Akiba played the Blu-ray as a demo. "Hayate going into season 2! Gotta Check this out as a true Fan! Fair" is held at AKIHABARA GAMERS main store where they had a special area selling character song CDs as well.
