The reservations for the anime "Movie Version Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Crimson Chapter" and "Gurren Lagann:Kirameki Yoko Box-Pieces of sweet stars-" started.
"Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" is a robot-anime by GAINAX of "Neon Genesis Evangellion".Gurren Lagann takes place in a fictional future in which human beings have been forced under Earth's surface and live in isolated subterranean civilizations. The main character Simon and Kamina,The leader of "Team Gurren" fights the "Beastmen" .Many mecha "Gunmen" including "Gurren Lagann" operated by Simon was the theme as well their friendship and growth.The TV animation aired between April and September of 2007. Theatrical version, "Movie Version Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Crimson Chapter" was released September 2008 and its sequel,"Movie Version Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Face Chapter" will be released April 25th,2009.
The reservation that started was for "Crimson Chapter"'s DVD. "Complete Limited Edition" comes with 7 specials with Package art by character design artist Atsushi Nishikiori, and the digi-pack art by Mechanical design artist You Yoshinari.It will be a 3 disc set containing audio commentary by the cast and staff, special movies of cast taking on "Gurenn Lagann" quiz, CD drama (original story) by Kazuki Nakajima. There will also be 2 posters from "Crimson Chapter" plus a reprint of the original movie pamphlet.It is scheduled to go on sale April 22nd.
Shops in Akihabara put these specials up front to advertise the reservations using heroines Yoko and Nia.
"Gurren Lagann:Kirameki Yoko Box-Pieces of sweet stars-" , that puts Yoko in the spotlight will go on sale on May 27th.
This will be a box set containing the CD of Yoko's new character song "S･t･a･r･S" and its karaoke and remix versions, Yoko's new promotion DVD, B5 size 132 paged booklet with original prints of the PV and new settings and more. An interview of Marina Inoue, the voice actress of Yoko is included as a bonus track. The design of the box and the booklet is done by character design artist Atsushi Nishikiori.
"We're all attracted to Yoko! We've been waiting for this! Full of Yoko!"(press release) is priced at a readonable 3,150yen. Many shops like AKIHABARA GAMERS main store has started taking reservations.
