Demo play session of "Muramasa: The Demon Blade" for Wii! Japanese 2D Action RPGGameshops in Akihabara held Demo play sessions of Nintendo Wii's "Muramasa: The Demon Blade".

"Muramasa: The Demon Blade" is an action RPG for Nintendo Wii that will go on sale April 9th. Set in the Edo period, the characters travel to seek the swords. The game is a  2D side-scrolling action role-playing game  with battle action enjoyable to many.

The game can be played in two modes: Musou Mode and Shura Mode. Musou Mode focuses on character leveling as opposed to action, whereas Shura Mode is more action based for more serious players.

Demo play sessions were held at Sofmap amusement store, AsoBit Game City, MESSE SANOH main store, and AKIHABARA GAMERS main store where many participants lined up for the experience in the rain while some pedestrians stopped to take a peek at the traditional 2D action. Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto was on hand to see the demo play. Comments from Hashimoto:

(Characteristics) "We prepared 2 modes for people that are good with action play and for those that are not."

(Focused on) "A real collaboration of Japanese history and fantasy. For example, we put tuna as a reasonable dish because they were cheap in the Edo era.

(Catch) "Having the game in 2D and its short loading time, it will be easier for both beginners and advanced players to enjoy as well as collecting 108 katanas."

As a reservation special, "Muramasa: The Demon Blade" comes with a 1.7m long poster of the characters on the front and the secret setting on the back.
