2009 version of "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" and "EVA-Canned coffee" out! Figure of Unit 05-Temp tooNew single of Yoko Takahashi "A Cruel Angel's Thesis 2009 VERSION" and the new version of "EVA-Canned coffee" has come out.


"A Cruel Angel's Thesis" is the theme song of the popular anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion" performed by Yoko Takahashi. The single is a newly arranged 2009 version that was re-recorded along either the TV closing theme "FLY ME TO THE MOON". Yoko Takahashi's strong vocal gives the tune a solemn image.

This "A Cruel Angel's Thesis 2009 VERSION" is also an image song for the pachinko "CR Neon Genesis Evangelion Saigo No Shisya".


UCC coffee has made the regular, "EVA-can", the "COFFEE MILK & COFFEE EVANGELLION Can 250g" to get a head up start for the showing of the movie, "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance" that will premier on June 27th. It will go on sale from May 18th, but there seems to be a sneak precedented sale at Akihabara at May 16th and 17th between 10am to 5pm at AKIHABARA GAMERS main store. There will be Rei Ayanami cosplayer giving away posters per 6 cans purchase for the fans.

The sales of the theatrical feature Pre-sales ticket and strap set of  "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance"(Gamers and Animate limited) will start. Don't forget to check that out too.

comic TORANOANA main store started the displaying of Kaiyodo's action figure "REVOLTECH YAMAGUCHI Eva Unit 01 Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance Edition", "REVOLTECH YAMAGUCHI Eva Unit 02 Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance Edition", and "REVOLTECH YAMAGUCHI Eva Unit 05-Temp Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance Edition".Fully recreating the mechanical design, the metallic painting gives it a more realisic look than the "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance" version which differs from the TV version.

All eyes were on Eva Unit 05 that will be unveiled at the new theatrical feature. All 3 items will go on sale on June 15th.

Kaiyodo "REVOLTECH YAMAGUCHI Eva Unit 01 Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance Edition"
The pursuit for a more human look that is truely a "man-made being".The metallic painting differenciates this from the "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" figure. The movement of the stomach armor make the torso to bend deeper. "Wrist joint" on the shoulder armor and toes makes it possible to move like it never did before.The arms and shoulders can move indivisually. "REVOLTECH YAMAGUCHI Eva Unit 05-Temp Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance Edition"
The new entry for "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance", the Eva Unit 05-Temp joins the REVOLTECH lineup. The temporary design for local use and the unique posture, as well as the mechanical details are done by Akira Tani. Katsuhisa Yamaguchi,the the originator of "YAMAGUCHI MAGIC" has planted the joints in the parts completing it into a full action "REVOLTECH" figure. Joints are used in the long legs and the boost parts making it possible for individual posing. Recreating the monster-like style of Unit 05, gives it more movements than its looks.(from the official WEBsite)
