2nd season of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" anime starts!

TV anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" that re-started April 2009 2009, on aired a new episode "Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody" May 21st.

"Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody" is a chapter from volume 3 "The Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya", is an episode when Haruhi and Kyon first met 3years prior to entering high school, when they were in their 1st year in junior high. This episode was rumored to be the first episode newly added to the series.

The 2006 on-aired had episodes timeline-mixed, this 28 episode series will have season 1/2 episodes in chronological order.

AKIHABARA GAMERS main store had Haruhi area played "Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody" as a part of season 2 animation campaign. Each floor held "Haruhi" related fairs and campaigns.

The new closing theme "Tomare!" (by Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara,Yūko Goto）will go on sale as a single August 26th.
