MANDARAKE Akihabara store is holding "Dai Tomino Ten" featuring Yoshiyuki Tomino.
Yoshiyuki Tomino is a famous animation director noted for directing several well-known anime series throughout his career, such as his most notable work, the Mobile Suit Gundam series. From the first Gundam to the extreme "Space Runaway Ideon" as "a dark Tomino project" and Byston Well related projects like "Aura Battler Dunbine", "Brain Powerd" known as a comeback project, "white Tomino"-ish idyllic "Turn A Gundam" and eccentric "Overman King Gainer", Tomino is known to his fans as "Tomino Ontai". Also famous for his unnatural talk at events and making contradictory statements.
"Dai Tomino Ten" held on the 1st floor of Mandarake Complex showcase exhibits/sells Tomino related products. Exibits include visual/audio projects, published materials and toys. Rare items such as autographed card by Tomino himself, group autograph with the staff, a Gundam lithograph by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, silkscreen of F91, print art of Turn X by Syd Mead are shown and registered for auction.
A must-see for cult Tomino followers and professed Gun-otas.
