EVA hits the Cover for the first time, comes with an Asuka T-shirt! Anime Mags on sale on the 10th(July 2009) Introducing the latest issue of 3 major names in Anime Magazines ( all on sale the 10th every month)“ANIMAGE (Tokuma Shoten)” “ANIMEDIA (Gakken)” and “NewType (Kadokawa Shoten)!

Each magazines had different titles for their June issue ("Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2","Hayate the Combat Butler" and "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST") and the trend continued this month. Animage had "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST", Animedia with "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2" and Newtype held "EVANGELION:2.0 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE" as their cover.

The eye catch is "EVANGELION:2.0 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE" that made its cover for the first time. The second of its theatrical feature series, all eyes are on the new character Makinami Mari Illustrious (CV: Maaya Sakamoto)and the name-changed Asuka Shikinami-Langley.

Newtype, with its cover pic of Asuka, is featuring "EVANGELION:2.0". With interview of Mari's Maasa Sakamoto, Rei Ayanami's Megumi Hayashibara and Misato Katsuragi's Kotono Miishi and official free paper "EVA－EXTRA" followed up by article related to the on-airing info at NTV's "Friday Road Show" The magazine comes with a T-shirt of Asuka by character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.

"EVANGELION:2.0 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE" will start from June 27th. Hikaru Utada will sing its theme song following its previous ""EVANGELION:1.0: You Are (Not) Alone" which the TV edition will on air for the first time on NTV's "Friday Road Show" on July 3rd.
