The 2nd season of Sengoku Basara begins 2010!

The announcement for the second season of "Sengoku Basara" was made after its airing of the 12th and final episode at CBC.

Announcement that was made was "The 2nd season of "Sengoku Basara" begins 2010!!" having fans heated up for the start of the second season in 2010.

It has been known that the un-aired episode 13 will be included in Vol.7 DVD that will be released January 6th, 2010. This will include popular characters Motonari Mouri and Motochika Chosokabe with story set in western Japan, fans can expect the actions of Toshiie Maeda and Matsu and the vagabond Keiji Maeda from episode 3.

<Story of Episode 13>
After the battle of Nagashino, Keiji Maeda headed west. His aim was to meet with Motochika Chosokabe, the conquer of Shikoku and Motonari Mouri, the leader of Chugoku area and talk them to peace. While both sides have kept balance, Mouri had a secret plan to take "Fugaku", the ocean fortress that Chosokabe army was ready to complete. As tensions rise in the Setouchi area, Toshiie Maeda and his wife Matsu carried a message carrying Oda's outrageous order. At the same time in the east, Masamune Date and Yukimura Sanada's troops were ready to invade Azuchi Castle. Can Keiji convince the two to fight together!?

"Sengoku Basara" Vol.1 on DVD will be released July 1st. Tracks include episode 1"Blue Crimson! A Meeting of Fate", episode 2 "Shocking! Encounter at Okehazama" and special feature "Sengoku Basara" special event at Tokyo International Anime Fair and the first episode of the newly produced DVD special anime "Chosokabe-kun to Mouri-kun" .The first press special include a special BASARA fan.

Episode 1 -Blue Crimson! A Meeting of Fate- In this episode, the characters are introduced. Takeda Shingen wants to attack his rival Uesugi Kenshin. The one-eyed dragon, Date Masamune, wants to attack Kenshin too. To prevent Date from interfering in the fight between Kenshin and him, Takeda sends Sanada Yukimura to stop Date Masamune. Then a battle between Date Masamune and Sanada Yukimura begins.


Episode 2 -Shocking! Encounter at Okehazama- Takeda Shingen and Date Masamune both want to conquer and kill the general of Imagawa. On the way to the general, Date Masamune rides through Hojo's land and let them think that he is allies with Takeda. So Takeda's army has to defend themselves and Yukimura rides to take Imagawa Yoshimoto's head before Masamune. They fight against each other to decide who will kill Yoshimoto. Yoshimoto escapes from the battlefield using two other decoys, but all three are attacked by three of Oda Nobunaga's operatives. Yoshimoto is killed by Oda himself.
