After School Tea Time takes No.1 in the Oricon chart!

After School Tea Time takes no.1 in the Oricon chart! "After School Tea Time", a mini album from the TV animation "K-On!" (released July 22nd) has reached No.1 on the Oricon chart and as expected, an extra was handed out at Akihabara.

According to the Weekly Oricon's August 3rd album chart, it has become the first ever single/album by an anime character to reach the top spot by selling 67,000 copies, the second CD by a voice actor since Nana Mizuki's "Ultimate Diamond" on June 15th.

Previous "K-On!" related CDs were also successful with Cagayake!GIRLS （opening theme/ranked 4th), Don't say "lazy"（closing theme/ranked 2nd), Fuwa-fuwa Time (ranked 3rd), K-ON! ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK (Original Sound Track/ranked 15th), Image Songs Yui Hirasawa (character song/ranked 3rd), Mio Akiyama (character song/ranked 2nd).

Like the time Nana Mizuki topped the chart, AKIHABARA GAMERS main store at Akihabara made a extra-like poster ("Gamer-Spo"). The giant sized version was put up in front of the shop while the smaller printed version was handed out as flyers. The popularity of Mio Akiyama was mentioned on the flyer as well as the sales at the shop.

Vol. 1 of "K-On!" on DVD/ Blu-ray will be released this week which will surely be on various charts is another check out item.
