"Saki"'s Yuuki Kataoka Tacos hits Akiba Station!

"Saki"'s Yuuki Kataoka Tacos hits Akiba Station! Yuuki Kataoka's original Tacos from the TV animation "Saki" was sold in front of Akihabara Station on August 1st and 2nd.

"Saki" is a TV animation based on a serialized comic at Young GANGAN that started April 2009. The story is about Kiyosumi High School Mahjong Club aiming to win the high school mahjong championship and the new member "Saki Tominaga" (CV: Kana Ueda) who accidentally joins the club.

Yuuki Kataoka (CV: Rie Kugimiya), one of the heroines of the story, appears in the story from time to time with her favorite food, Tacos (she likes food with the word "Taco" in it) . So this collaborated campaign with Tacos restaurant chain "Taco Derio!" was brought up. This Tacos campaign was its second.

A "Saki" decorated truck appeared in front of Akihabara Station on August Yuki original Tacos (500 yen) and Yuki original Tacos kit (900 yen) were sold. According to a staff, there was a waiting line before the opening. There were anime fans waiting in line and taking photos all day. Tacos itself drew attention of young ladies and other customers as well. The Yuki tray mat, the campaign special were handed out.

The first volume of "Saki' DVD has already been out. Also there will be "Saki and Nodoka" and "Yuki" ita-miniature cars (TOYOTA SPRINTER TRENO (AE86)) and sticker sold at PONY CANYON booth at Comic Market 76 that will be held this month. They will be sold at 1000 yen per set with 500 set limitation.
