Maddy Candy from K-ON! out! CD "Maddy Candy" from TV animation "K-ON!" has come out.

"K-ON!" is a TV animation based on a 4-panel comic serialized in "Manga Time Kirara" and "Kirara Carat" and shows the lives of five girls in the Sakura High School Light Music Club making their way as a girls band. The animation by Kyoto Animation (Kyo Ani) and the songs by the voice actresses has boosted the popularity. The first volume of the BD has topped the ORICON Blu-ray chart and the mini album "After School Tea Time" did the same on the weekly chart.

"Maddy Candy" is a tune that "Sawa-chan", or Sawako Yamanaka (CV: Asami Sanada), a teacher of the Sakura High School Light Music Club, wrote. A tune that she made as a member of "DEATH DEVIL", a metal band she belonged to when she was a light music club member. Aired in the 4th episode, it seems that it is a part of history Sawako wants to forget.

Compared to the mainstream pop "After School Tea Time", "DEATH DEVIL" is a hard heavy metal. Leaned more to the harder side than its cuteness, the tune makes the listener want to bang their heads. The skull and devil clad cover recalls the punk bands of yesteryears.

The model for the name "Sawako Yamanaka" is taken from "the pillows"' Sawao Yamanaka (vocal/guitar) who is known for his distinctive "A!UI!E!" call.

Playing of "K-ON!"'s Azu-nyan first appearance scene at Gamers

Gamers that has "K-ON!" area set, played the movie of Azu-nyan's first scene. Asobit Game City had the entrance area filled with related goods as a part of "K-ON! Special".

"Manga Time Kirara" that serializes the manga, its September 2009 issue is on sale. The magazine comes with "Un Tan!" , an anthology comic by various artists.
