Haruhi's latest DVD Bamboo Rhapsody out! The latest DVD from the TV animation, "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 4 Bamboo Rhapsody"(vol.1) has come out.

"Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" is a popular light novel series serialized on Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko. The story is about the bossy, boredom hating high school girl Haruhi Suzumiya and SOS Brigade which she has made. Unlike the regular "School-based" story, the characters include aliens, time travellers and espers, it is noted to be "Un-everyday school-based story" and the 2nd season is being aired. It has stirred up a controversy with the episode "Endless Eight" where the SOS Brigade is caught in a time-loop in their summer vacation and aired almost the same episode for 8 weeks.

"Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 4 Bamboo Rhapsody"(vol.1) is the latest DVD release which includes the newly added episode for the 2009 season, "Bamboo Rhapsody". It features episode "Bamboo Rhapsody", where Kyon and Haruhi met for the first time 3 years ago and includes "non-subtitled closing", "TV commercial use", "PV for shops" "Location Hunting movie" and "Aya Hirano (Haruhi Suzumiya) PV-making" footage.

The limited edition includes a special disc ("SOS Brigade Classic Tunes Album" vol.1, "Taniguchi Ga Iku. Fushigi Hakken no Tabi"episode 1 / "SOS Brigade Memory Album" vol.1), post card with info, special coaster and a film-bookmark. The coaster and the bookmark are randomly inserted with a rare secret included.

AKIHABARA GAMERS main store held a shop-entrance sales as well as "Haruhi Suzumiya Lunar-Star Festival Fair" where a reed featuring a member of the SOS Brigade (5 in all) will be given for each related items purchased. Also, "Limited Haruhi Loto"'s drawing which winners got "Ultra-limited Haruhi bags". Asobit Game City and comic TORANOANA Akihabara store B shop advertised this and related items by playing the movie, showing their high expectations from this awaited product.
