New PS3 and MOBILE SUITS GUNDAM BATTLEFIELD RECORD U.C.0081 out! The new PLAYSTATION 3, "CECH-2000A" and "MOBILE SUITS GUNDAM BATTLEFIELD RECORD U.C.0081" for PS3 has come out.

The new PS3 "CECH-2000A" has modified its body design and made it thinner and lighter. Its biggest feature is the 29,800 yen price tag that has been lowered by 10,000 yen. It also strengthened its multi media functions by adding next generation sound system (Dolby True HD etc.) adopted by Blu-ray systems and adapting to "BRAVIA LINK" making this machine an attractive machine as a BD player. But it will not play play PS 2 software.

In sync with the machine's release, "MOBILE SUITS GUNDAM BATTLEFIELD RECORD U.C.0081" has come out. The game is a 3D action game where a player leads a 3 mobile suit unit to clear the mission. Staged a year after the One-year War on earth, the original story between Earth Federation Forces and Principality of Zeon unfolds. The player becomes a unit leader and gives orders to the wingmen that moves in AI. Players may customize their mobile suits as the game progresses. A product code to watch the whole new HD animation movie, "MOBILE SUITS GUNDAM BATTLEFIELD RECORD U.C.0081 Advan Title" is included as a first product special.

Many shops in Akiba held events for the release of this affordable PS3 and the latest Gundam series game.Yodobashi Akiba held a count down event from the morning while Sofmap amusement store, MESSE SANOH main store, and Ishimaru Denki main store held demo-play sessions. The life-like graphics drawn mobile suits drew much attention and many people holding a big bag with PS3 in it were seen.
