Vol. 2 of DVD Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 5.142857 out! The latest DVD release from the TV anime, "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 5.142857"(Vol.2) has come out.

"Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" is a popular light novel series serialized on Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko. The story is about the bossy, boredom hating high school girl Haruhi Suzumiya and SOS Brigade which she has made. Unlike the regular "School-based" story, the characters include aliens, time travellers and espers, it is noted to be "Un-everyday school-based story" and the 2nd season is being aired. It has stirred up a controversy with the episode "Endless Eight" where the SOS Brigade is caught in a time-loop in their summer vacation and aired almost the same episode for 8 weeks.

This Vol.2 "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 5.142857" features Episode 12 "Endless Eight I" and Episode 13 "Endless Eight II" from the story "Endless Eight", where the SOS Brigade gets caught in a time loop that Haruhi unconsciously was starting. "Non-subtitled closing", "Commercial Movie (2 broadcasting stations)" , "Location Hunting Movie" and "Aya Hirano (Haruhi Suzumiya) PV making" are added as special feature.

The limited edition will come with special discs ( #2 of "SOS Brigade Classical Tunes Album", episode 2 of "Taniguchi ga Iku. Fushigi Hakken no Tabi" and vol.2 of "SOS Brigade Memory Album"), lner notes with postcard, special coaster and a film bookmarker. As it was for Vol.1, there might be a secret version enclosed. Also, a special illustrated box (will hold all 4 DVDs) and a postcard holder (will hold all 32 cards) will be included.

Again, Gamers will sell "Yuki Nagato Limited Edition". There will be a special picture sleeve added to the regular edition.

Akiba shops had posters and giant sign boards for this new release of vol.2. A shop played both "Endless Eight" episodes side by side for fans to notice the difference in the identical opening/story.

On September 30th, "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya New Character Song Vol.1 Haruhi Suzumiya", "Vol.2 Yuki Nagato" and "Vol.3 Mikuru Asahina" will all go on sale.
