GINTAMA tops the 2009 OVA sales!

GINTAMA tops the 2009 OVA sales! It has been announced on October 14th that OVA "GINTAMA JUMP ANIME TOUR 2008 & 2005" (released September 30th) has topped the sales of titles released in 2009.

"GINTAMA JUMP ANIME TOUR 2008 & 2005" is the DVD special animation from Hideaki Sorachi's popular TV animation and features titles "Shiroyasha Kotan" from 2008 and "GINTAMA" from 2005.


OVA"GINTAMA JUMP ANIME TOUR 2008 & 2005"

According press release, the title ranked in 9th in the DVD general chart with 8,000 copies sold and made it into the top 10 2 weeks in a row. The total copies sold added up to 61,000 copies and passed the Academy Award winning "pieces of love vol.1 La Maison en Petits Cubes"'s 54,000 copies. The top 3 OVAs sold in 2009 were:
