Past Macross Divas Collaborate in "Super Dimension Anthem 2009"

CD Macross "Super Dimension Anthem 2009 Iki wo Shiteru Kanjiteiru" has come out.




CD Macross "Super Dimension Anthem 2009 Iki wo Shiteru Kanjiteiru" is the CD version of the tune released on September 9th from Chaku-Uta and Chaku-Uta Full. The song commemorates the memorial year of the classic SF anime "Super Dimension Fortress Macross" series. (*)

*2009 is the year that the launching ceremony of Macross was held in the original "Super Dimension Fortress Macross" anime. There was an event "Super Dimension Launching Ceremony -It Really has Become 2009…2.22 (Nyan Nyan Nyan) Deculture!-" this February.

Vocals are done by Mari Iijima (original "Super Dimension Fortress Macross" Lynn Minmay), Yoshiki Fukuyama ("Macross 7" Basara Nekki), Chie Kajiura ("Macross 7" Mylene Flare Jenius), May'n ("Macross Frontier" Sheryl Nome), and Megumi Nakajima ("Macross Frontier" Ranka Lee). The song is written and arranged by Mari Iijima and is a ballad by Basara and the legendary Macross Divas. The tune has a mellow atmosphere but the lyrics has the strong Macross touch.

There will be a "Macross First Year Anniversary Crossover Live A.D.2009 x 45 x 59@ Makuhari Messe" on October 17th to 18th, where the 5 singers will participate.
