Nana Mizuki will be the first seiyu to perform in "Kouhaku Uta Gassen". Shops in Akihabara is celebrating her feat.
Nana Mizuki has topped the Oricon chart with her 7th album "ULTIMATE DIAMOND", a first for a voice actor to do so as well as voicing the role "Nanami Madobe", a moe-character for "Windows 7" has made her way to the "60th Annual Kouhaku Uta Gassen" which will be aired on new year's eve. Another first for a seiyu, and Mizuki herself once dreamed to be an enka singer, Kohaku will be her ultimate stage.
Nana Mizuki and Kaela Kimura will debut for the Red team while Arashi, NYC boys、FUNKY MONKEY BABYS、flumpool、Yuusuke, and Remioromen makes their first appearance for the white team. This has brought up a Nana Mizuki VS Arashi battle on the web, a battle of anime/seiyu otaku VS Johnny's otaku.
A Yahoo JAPAN Asks' question, "Which first-time performer are you looking forward to on 2009 NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen?" had Nana Mizuki movement has put her up at 58% (43940 polls)against Arashi's 27% (20144 polls) at this point.
AKIHABARA GAMERS main store in Akihabara put out their "Gamer-Spo" poster up on the AV related floor to celebrate by playing her live performance on a large scale. Sofmap amusement store put up a "Congatulation on Kouhaku Uta Gassen" and set up an area for Mizuki. Asobit Hobby City held "Fate-chan Festival" and presented Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers S "Fate T. Harlaown Shin Sonic Form" figure by Alter.
Nana Mizuki will release a live BD/DVD "NANA MIZUKI LIVE FEVER" December 23rd, 21st single "PHANTOM MINDS" January 13th and 22nd single "Silent Bible" on February 10th. "PHANTOM MINDS" will be the theme song of "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st" (opens January 23rd 2010).
