Over 20 Parts maker companies such as Intel, AMD Japan NVIDIA took part in the event for DIY PC parts "DIY PC EXPO 2008 Autumn" was held at Akihabara Conventiion Hall (2nd floor of Akihabara Dai Bldg.) on November 2nd and 3rd.

This event was held as a general event of PC parts for all DYI PC users to enjoy with display and sales of new and previouly unreleased products from PC parts makers, and several seminars was also held.
Many unreleased products attracted attention, such as "WinFast PxVC1100" , a card by Leadtek that holds Toshiba's stream processor "SpursEngine" and MSI Mini-ITX motherboard that holds Radeon HD 4850 X2 with Atom330.
The seminars, one by Seagate "FAQ about HDDs" and "The New World of Movie Editing" were also held. And there was opened the space for DYI beginners and advanced DYI PC makers In this space PC makers and users exchanged their insights.

The eye catching product at the scene was the display of "WinFast PxVC1100" by Leadtek with Cell base stream processor "SpursEngine"by Toshiba. This product was displayed at CEATEC JAPAN 2008 and its main features are faster editing and trans coding of movies compared to CPUs and up-convertions from SD to HD picture quality.
Demo performance of movie editing software "DVD Movie Writer" that comes with "SpursEngine" and exibition/commentary of H.264 HighSpeed encoding technique demonstration was shown by CRI・MiddleWare.A PC with a card inside a smalle chassise was shown as an "Application"
Main specs are: 1 PCI Express, 128MB XDR DRAM memory and expected to be on sale early November.

The product that hs been rumored soon to be out, "Radeon HD 4850 X2" was on display.Anything with an "X2" at the end are supposed to have Dual GPU these days, but no specifications were unveiled. According to the company, "It is a model that is between Radeon HD 4870 and Radeon HD 4870 X2."

Mini-ITX motherboard with Atom 330 was on display at the MSI booth. Having no Mini-ITX motherboard with Dual Core Atoms except genuine Intel parts, the sales dates are being closely watched.
MSI single cored Atom mother board used to have a form factor of Mini-DTX, but they have reduced a DIMM slot to size it down to a Mini-ITX form factor.
The main specs are Intel 945GC+ICH7 chip set, 1 DIMM slot and 1 PCI slot.Main on board device consists of 2 SATA, 1 IDE, 100base-TX USB etc.

Other boothes displayed many products like video card with GeForce 9600GT and Radeon HD 4000 series, various mother boards, CPU coolers adapting to LGA1366.Also other strange gadgets such as PC with micro cooling system, simplified console that can overclock VGA cards while holding its USB connection.
