Core i7 In 5.73GHz With liquid nitrogen! "Extreme Cooling Overclock Party" REPORT

en_akiba20081116__0005.jpgOverclock Event using the latest high-end PC parts, "Extreme Cooling Overclock Party" was held at OVERCLOCK WORKS on the 16th November.




This event was for famous Japanese overclockers to overclock the latest PC parts to the extreme
using liquid nitrogen and have fun.

The attention was drawn to the overclocking of the new Intel "Core i7" CPU.

Composed with "Core i7 940(CPU)+ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherboard+A-DATA DDR3-1600+2  2GB memory"attained 4441.83GHz on the movement clock, surpassing the rated movement clock(2.93GHz)by over 1GHz.

And also overclocking of the high-end model of  Core i7, "965 Extereme Edition"(3.20GHz).
Although Windows did not start up, it attained the movement clock at 5.73GHz that was recognized
by BIOS's  POST screen. Other events for overclockers included overclocking of "Phenom"- AMD CPU and cooling of a multi GPU enviroment usingliquid nitrogen.
