Blu-ray Drive PIONEER "BDR-203BK/WS" out! 　8x speed at below 30K yen

A Blu-ray drive that supports 8x speed "BDR-203BK/WS" was released from Pioneer.

Pioneer "BDR-203BK/WS" is a serial ATA connected Blu-ray drive that complies to the 8x BD-R/R DL read/write speed. It seems that this is a bulk version of the retail product "BDR-S03J" (goes on sale next January) and the very first Pioneer product that is able to write-in.

Like the Hitachi-LG "BH08NS20", has an overspeed writing ability that is able to write in at 8x speed to a 4x or 6x BD-R disks, and has functions such as "Limit Equalizer" that makes possible high quality reading/writing as well as "Smart Laser Driver".

Main writing maximum speeds are BD-R/R DL 8x, BD-RE/RE DL 2x, DVD-RAM 5x, DVD±R DL 8x, DVD±R 16x, DVD-RW 6x, DVD+RW 8x etc. It comes with "PowerDVD 8" for movies, "Power2Go6" for writing and "InstantBurn 5" for packet writing.

The prices were, 25,800 yen at T-ZONE PC DIY SHOP, 26,980 yen at TWOTOP Akihabara Honten, 27,980 yen at BLESS Akihabara Honten, and 28,980 yen at DosPara Akihabara Honten. All the shops only have the Black color model.
