HDD 1TB 7,770yen and 1.5TB 11,970yen!! as rock-bottom price

The 1TB/1.5TB HDD info that we have been covering almost daily, prices still were going down on the last Saturday before Christmas.



The hot-selling line at Seagate and Western Digital are priced under 8,000yen for 1TB and under 12,000yen for 1.5TB models and they are seen as rock-bottom at many PC parts shops in Akihabara.
Comments picked up on the 20th:

・There might be a another drop by 100 to 200 yen but by the 1,000 is unthinkable.
・There could be shops selling for under 10,000 yen for a yearend sale but I don't think it will last for long....
・There are shops where the order for the year are done making it difficult to keep the price as it is.
・We have been selling 500 HDD a week, but still the profit margin is slim...
